What Facebook Hath Spawned
Wow, I spent five minutes this morning on Sarah Palin’s Facebook site, what a hot mess.
Currently the hot topic is a mosque set to be built near the former World Trade Center. Whether you support or denounce the idea, the queen of the Tea Party should have to check her Constitution credentials. Religious freedom is up there in that feisty First amendment.
I have not seen her call for a common sense approach to the folks at WalMart who want to build a supercenter smack in the middle of the The Wilderness, a civil war battleground and memorial in Fredricksburg, Virginia. I forgot, our ancestors died so that we could benefit from just in time distribution systems and monopolistic business strategies so that we could buy low cost and low quality goods from China.
The only truly offensive thing regarding the thousands of comments supporting Sarah and her call to halt the building of the planned mosque, is the inordinate amount of attacks on spelling and grammar, which is seemingly a requirement of the Tea Party movement. Thomas Paine didn’t have spell check.
